I'm hosting once again, on Thursday at 7pm. Now that I have over 12 games of Agricola under my belt, I wouldn't mind playing something we haven't seen in a while (LEONARDO, Monastery, Tribune, etc...). That's what I said last week as we opened up Race for the Galaxy.... which I've played almost 20 times now. :)
Oh, and if Joseph buys "climb" (see below), I'd be willing to try it.

I'll be flying off to New Hampshire to watch the leaves change. Be back next week, though.
well since the closing on my house on Thursday has fallen through, I can probably make it. Not entirely sure yet, though. I give it 75%.
I always have a commitment on Thursday nights from about 7 - 9 PM. I won't make it this time. In the future, I may be able to arrive around 9 PM on Thursdays just to hang out or play a game. Have fun. Tom
Hmmm.... except for Marty's .75, everyone else is a no. Lewis and JD usually let me know at the last minute, so they are probably .75 too for now. Joseph?
There's always solitaire Agricola...
Rob, thanks for recommending two-player Power Grid, I played it with my brother James last weekend and it was really good.
We played with the bottom three sections of the US map, and I stranded him so that he could only get 8 cities on the East coast to my 9(with room to expand to the West), and 10 cities triggers step 2. So I just held him trapped in that position for 1 turn, 2 turns, 3 turns, when the Step 3 card came up...it was actually not worth it for me to do it like that since I only gained 8$ x two of the turns(=$16). I would have been better off building to the 11 I could power to get $24 more than him for one turn. But it was really dramatic, since I had him trapped, and I (thought) I had control of triggering the next phase.
ps of course he could have paid like 40 or more in connection fees to get a city in the West, hehe.
I should be there Thursday night.
and if its just us two, we could do Two-player Agricola and/or PG.
How do you like 2 player Race for the Galaxy?
Yeah, I highly recommend doing the 3 easternmost regions in a 2 player game. You have less chances of screwing over a newbie, by locking them out. It can still happen, but it's harder. I didn't go for that when I played with my wife. Like I told you, she beat me on tie breaker (total money... like the shirt says).
Race for the Galaxy is just as sweet in a 2 player game. The 2 player variant makes it feel like the 4 player game: each player plays 2 action/role cards per turn. I played it once with Lance, and it was a bit overwhelming.
All this talk about economic games makes me want to pull out my favorite economic game (but I'm terrible at) tomorrow: Indonesia.
I will be there.
I will be there.
I will be there.
So we'll be 4 it seems. Cool.
