On other news, I played two 2-player games of Agricola this weekend, one on Sunday with Tony E in Clear Lake. He'd like to get in touch with you, Rob, about playing block games and other 2-player games of that ilk.
We played at Bubble Island on Bay Area Blvd, which worked out pretty well. Would not work for a large group, though.
I will actually be able to be there this week. This last month has been crazy busy with stuff, but I'm looking forward to doing some gaming.
Have any of you played "Kill Dr. Lucky"? I just picked it up after reading through some reviews and the rules, and it sounds pretty interesting (for 2 to 7 people - but best with 5). Also picked up the (2 to) 4 person card game, Gloom. Played a 2 person game with it, and it too, was pretty fun.
Finally, I was going through some of my old OLD games and came across an X-Men board game from the mid- 90's.
I'd be happy to bring any of these if anyone would like me to.
I've never played, but have wanted to try Dr Lucky (and the other expansions). Bring Gloom too just in case. As a retired CCG'er, card games with different card powers (Race for the Galaxy, Agricola, etc) will always be appealing.
Ben, I was browsing around the MtG website the other day... and man, the newer sets looks GREAT. I've also been reading up on D&D 4th ed. It looks pretty cool too, although I doubt I'll ever play again. It's like what I always wanted Descent (the boardgame) to be, but it isn't.

Lance, completely understandable. I can see myself making gaming plans before realizing that I had something important like my wife's b-day. Get her Agricola btw.

My wife's up at school from 4 - 7 pm for registration, so dad has to watch the kid. I might call when she gets home and see where you're at.
