Gaming Tues 6/24

There won't be any gaming at my place this week. This week gaming is at Coffee Culture, 6/24 at 7pm. I'm bringing Kingsburg (because Joseph asked a long time ago) and Race for the Galaxy because Joseph had his learning game today, and said that he needs to play it soon to memorize the rules. :)

The picture? Maybe what Coffee Culture will look like after a month or two of gaming sessions.

I like Kingsburg... just not enough to keep it.

Race is great, but I find I look forward to playing Glory to Rome more, probably because I've played about 100 games of Race.

We need to play Blackbeard during your next visit.

Ben, nice to see someone posting here.

I read the session report on Blackbeard and was like:

:O... drooling

Sign me up.

Are we ever doing EE? I think I'm actually playing AE in person next week.

I borrowed Mike Kent's copy of Power Grid for Joseph...I've also got a bunch of other games I'll be bringing.

Great! I've had Power Grid in my wishlist for a LOOOOONG time, but usually new games end up bumping it out of my order.

Right on Rob.
I like your way of thinking!
I am guessing a third of the Maybe RSVPs will show up, enough to cancel the Yes's who will not show up.
I only expect one or two of the Yes's to no-show because that happens a lot with first-timers...who may have never attended an internet based meetup where they do not know anyone.

But then there are the people who know about the event who are not on the group or whatever. So it could be 15 people out, which would rock, but as long as everyone has some fun...thats all that counts.

I am gonna bring my more popular but neglected games like Cataan, Carcassone, and Blokus, in addition to my regular stuff.

You shouldn't inline images from other people's websites. It uses bandwidth they're paying for, and is usually copyright infringement. Also, the image might get replaced out from under you.

In this particular case, you are welcome to reuse the image, I've licensed it under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license for exactly that reason. But you'll need to make your own copy of the image (so it doesn't use the server bandwidth I'm paying for). To meet the license terms, you'll need to link to the original page while noting that the photo is copyright 2007 Alan De Smet.

Have fun gaming!
