We will have to have at least one more gaming evening before you leave. At least one more game of Confucius! :-) I can always host if things are crazy at your house.
I am going to have to pass on tonight but I am hoping to make it for at least a little while on Sat. Anyone else going on Sat?
I got to play St Pete, and I am glad I did, since I got to see why they recommend that you pass the markers two places instead of one. I am now a fan of passing two places in a five player game.
Using the regular passing to your neighbor in a five player game means...If you are the fourth player in the first worker round and the fifth player in the second worker round you are likely to end up with only two workers, while several other players got to buy four workers.
If something could have balanced this, I am missing it. Any suggestions?
I only just moved here a frew months ago and its very unfortunate that most of my time has been chewed up with the move and setting up our office here. I sure wish I could have gamed with you alot more.
Of course, Mike and I did a LOT better (making about 30% more money). The Parts Factory is actually more 'usable' than I expected.
The only thing was that we (Mike and I) probably played a little TOO convervatively, and sort of influenced the other 2 players to do so too based on our experience with the first game. Our productions were so 'spot on'.... so aimed at achieving the average expected demand so perfectly, that no one felt compelled to go for the 'extra sale' markers (ie. if we have exactly the number of cars needed for the demand, you don't gain anything from the extra sale markers). Consequently, what we should have done is make MORE cars than the actual expected demand, and then go for the extra markers, to force other players to take loss cubes.....I think.
The good thing about it is that the game will be COMPLETELY different every time you play, because like Chris said, there is minimal randomness inherently in the game...the players provide the randomness by their choices. Awesome.

Or Stone Age would be cool too.
I'll try to make it. Things are getting complicated with the move and all.
No, I have not invited Jonathon. I don't have his email.

I'm going to try to make it to San Jac on Sat.

Yeah! Another fan of playing the game like the designers intended... read, the right way.
I will be able to go to San Jac this Sat. Hope to see you there. I'm bringing pitch car among other things.
Hey Rob, when is the move final? WE need to get together before you leave. We also need to get some people together to play android.
I'm moving on 7/6, or somewhere around that weekend. Let me know...
I will be at San Jac this Saturday. Pasadena is probably as far from Katy as League City.
You will be missed Rob.

I understand... it's not personal, it's business.
:)
BTW, guys, Automobile by Martin Wallace is a brilliant game.
REALLY enjoyed Automobile. Was the second game better or because everyone knew the game and what they needed to do was it that much more challenging?

Any chance Automobile will show up this Tuesday?
I can show up early on Tuesday, say around 5pm if anyone else can.
Ouch ouch! twist my arm...
Yes, Automobile will be making it there.
I would like to be there about 5.
Automobile sounds most interesting.
ps Thanks to Kat for hosting this Tuesday.
