Newbie needs help.....

Has anyone ever ordered a game from Essen? This year they are featuring a game that is suppose to be better than Agricola and is already rated 8.50 by boardgame geeks. My concern is trying to get the rules in English. Am I better off waiting until there is an English version?

Also, does anyone know how to get the seasons expansion for Agricola that is being given away at Essen? Im Wandel der Jahreszeiten (Through the Seasons). Because it is a giveaway, does that mean that the gaming store won't be selling the expansion? I have only gotten to play Agricola twice and I am hooked!!

Questions overload! :)

Is the game you are talking about 'Le Havre'?

Also, the Seasons expansion is a freebie postcard I believe. I'm sure that it'll be something that can be printed off of BGG at some point (if it isn't already under Agricola images).

Yes, Le Havre seems like something I would enjoy. Thoughthammer has it as a preorder but they can't guarantee it in English.

I'm sure it will eventually make it to our shores like Agricola did.... in Australian english. And probably a lot quicker than Agricola did, judging on its success.

Uwe Rosenberg is a gaming diva.

Hello from Essen. Le Havre is available here in English. Buzz is good so far. It will be available in English relatively soon in the US, I expect. But if you are willing to pay extra, I could maybe be persuaded to pick up a copy. :) I can't remember exactly what they are asking here, but it is not cheap, maybe 35€?

No really, I probably have enough to bring back already after the first day...

Hopefully more reports soon from the place with the action.

I think they were already out of the Agricola postcard by the time I got to their booth today...I'll check again tomorrow. I did get some of the veggie-meeples for Agricola, but they are around $9. If anybody else wants some, let me know soon (they are small!).

Oh I'm jealous....

I'm fine with the veggiemeeples I've made. I HAVE to keep using mine after stickerizing them...

Have fun.

Hey Marty! I'm jealous! I will take whatever you are willing to purchase and carry back. I would love a postcard and veggie meeples. I just acquired people meeples on ebay a few minutes ago.

If you find that you have room for Le Havre (English please) I would love it. Preorder price here is $60.00 so that would be 46 or 47 euro. I think it would be great to have it at are next meetup so anything under $70 is fine. Plus whatever the bribe is going to cost me! :-)

If you don't have room, I completely understand! I have been on trips where I have bought more than I can tote home. It isn't fun!

Enjoy yourself! Have fun for all of us!

Here is the postcard Denisse.... Now use a good color printer and a laminator (or card stock) and voila!
